First of all, greetings to all of you wonderful people here on the Anthony Ellis boards. I have been reading your results and I have been really inspired by many of your successes! It is because of YOU people that I'm actually getting serious about this and making a concerted, *long-term* effort towards better health and a better appearance. So first of all - THANK YOU.

So here's the deal. I am a computer programmer/pianist - hence my starting stats. They say that musicians lead the most sedentary lifestyles of all the people in the world, and given my current physique I would have to say that is TRUE. Probably rivaled only by computer programmers! I do have starting pictures which I will post when I have an "after" picture to put next to them.

I haven't been so sedentary my whole life, though - I have enjoyed jogging in the past (for a few weeks at a time, here and there) and believe it or not, I DID play some football in high school! OK, it was electric football. However, in high school I did do some weight training but it never went anywhere because I didn't have the motivation. (Nor did I have a 36" jelly belly, either.)

My short term goal on this fat loss program is to drop down to 10% bodyfat. I am assuming it will take at least the full 12 weeks to get there. I then plan to switch to the modified mass program to hopefully add 10 - 15 lbs of LBM. I realize this will probably be difficult because of the complete lack of exersize my body has consistently recieved, hence it is prone to storing mostly fat. We shall see. At the very least, I am going to lose the jelly belly.

The thing I am most concerned about is my right knee - I have dislocated it more than once and hence I am nervous about things like squats. I have done physical therapy on it and it feels much better and more secure now, but I will still have to be very careful and conservative with squats.

So wish me luck! I will post my weekly measurements for the next 12 weeks and probably a picture at the end of the fatloss program! Here goes nothing . . .
