Credits: 5,748 | Hi all ! I started Anthony’s Gain mass program for some years back, and it was actually pretty good. Started out at 74 kg and ended at about 90 kg, with 8 % body fat, being 190 cm - and this was only for 12 weeks. But then I stopped smoking, stopped training (stupid, I know) and gained 5 kg of fat - and this was only for starts. Today, I'm still 190 cm (wuhuu) but weighing 90 kg, with a body fat % at 13 - looking pretty flabby. So now, I want to get back - I like to train and I like to look good (who doesn’t). Only, I have this problem - I travel pretty much now because of my job - and for different intervals and durations. For example: away for 4 weeks, home for 1½ week, away for 1 week, home for 3, away for 2½.....and so on - and often, I will only know a couple of days ahead. Now, I want to start out at Anthony’s training plan again - but with some slight changes. This because of my traveling off cause, but how to do the "best" thing !? Only a few of the hotels I stay at, has something they call a gym, but it's extremely rare that it’s just a bit decent for any training. So my plan is to do some bodyweight exercises, dips, pull-ups, push-ups, handstand push-ups, squads, roll-outs and so on - will this be ok !? Lets say that I just had 3 weeks at home, then I just train for 3 weeks of the workout book off cause. Then I had to go for 2 weeks, and then I do some bodyweight exercises - hopefully keeping some of my strength gained. When I get home, I continue with week 4, 5 and so on - till I'm going again - will this be any good ??? And how about diet, should I try achieve my high cal diet (it will be hard to follow, that’s for sure !!!), or is it better to get of the diet when traveling ? I know, I know - neither will be any good, but until I get a new job, it is this or nothing. Sure I will not gain just as great as last time, but it will be better than nothing, I guess. What do you think ? Please advice !!! Thanks, /Kenneth |
