Credits: 398 | There have been quite a few questions on swimming for cardio during fat loss. If someone were to do this, should you get your heart rate where it needs to be before you start swimming? For example jumping jacks at a fast pace, get on the bike for a few minutes, etc. Once you have the target heart rate could you just swim at that intensity to keep the heart rate for 30 min? On another note, how long should it take to reach your target heart rate if you went another route of cardio such as the bike? My target rate at 80% is 155. How long should that take me and at what intensity would get me there the fastest?
