Default Left And Right Muscles Aren't The Same Size, whats the deal?

Man this is weird, I've been training before the manual, so I wanted to know before starting, why are some of my body parts not the same on both side. My right bicep is nice with a nice shape and bigger volume (13 inches) and my left does not have nice shape less developed (12.5 inches) same with my pectoral my left pec is round bigger volume better shaped than my right pec I don't want to look unbalanced. :(

SIGH Help !!

Rick,

I would not worry about it. Unfortunately our bodies are not perfectly symmetrical.

If you continue to work both sides equally, the weaker side will be be forced to work harder and therefore will eventually catch up with the stronger side.

Good Luck!

Everyone has a weak side and a strong side. When you start to train more with free weights, the difference will lessen as your weak side will get stronger, but it will never be exactly equal. My left arm has always been a bit weaker than my right.

When doing dumbbell exercises, just make a point to do an equal amount of work with your weak side. That may mean that you have to rest a second before completing enough reps, but that is ok, just make it do the same amount of work and it will catch up.

Like everybody has said one side will always be larger or dominant. Try doing this, as you go though your day today try and pay attention to how many times you use your right then left sides (arms, hands, legs) to pick up stuff. Bend over, loosen jars, open doors, you might be surprised! Also, using dumbell weights I think decreases this size difference, it's the one way to equal your lifts. I had a trainer comment about my measurements NOT being off, but then I switched hands. Doing everything left or right seems normal to me.

Its normal to have a nice shaped right bicep, left pec and not having the other sides as nice.
