Default Overeating Prevention on Fat Loss

Face it, trying to function on a limited-calorie diet is extremely difficult and painful. It messes with your head as well as body hormones. I just wanted to provide a list of things that help me when I do a cut:

1. Self-discipline - This is pretty self-explanatory. It's a nice way of saying, "Quit making excuses and put forth the effort to EARN your goals in life!"
2. Chewing gum - I don't know why, but there's something to do with moving the jaw that really helps to control my cravings.
3. Fillers - What I mean by "fillers" are simple snacks to eat in between meals when the gum doesn't cut it and I just can't stand it anymore. What I use are organic nuts and/or beef jerky. Nothing major, just a palm-full of nuts and 1-2 oz. of jerky. Carbs, unless a very low GI carb, should not be used as a "filler" when trying to cut weight, keep those insulin levels in check. Granted, my examples are not very filling, but even a little bit of satisfaction can go a long ways! (Ugh, makes me think of those Snicker's commercials )
4. Water - Keep the stomach full. My rule of thumb is 16 ounces (2 cups) of water with every meal. I drink a lot more water on fat loss than massing. Mostly because my body temperature is higher on cardio days, as well as simply trying to keep my stomach full. I usually consume 300 ounces a day on fat loss.
5. Diet Soda - Ok, some people my jump on me about this, but something about diet soda fills my stomach and it helps. Yeah, I know, the Splenda is going to give me cancer, what isn't going to give me cancer? No more than 2 sodas a day, ever.
6. High-fibrous carbs - Foods such as spinach can be eaten in large quantities, yet, have a very small caloric value. Eat slow-digesting carbs that are high in fiber, this will do wonders to give you that "full" feeling that you desire.
7. Photos - Find a photo of your ideal goal body and your current body. Place them side-by-side on the mirror you use every morning while getting around. Put it in a place where you will notice it every morning so that it will serve as a daily reminder of who you want to become and who you don't want to remain.

Hopefully this will provide you with success to your fat loss program. If I can think of any more, I will add them to the list.

Anybody else? Please stay on subject and make sure it's regarding "overeating prevention".

My bad! I posted this in the "training" section and not the "nutrition" section. You can ban me from the board if you like
