| Silver Member | I've got my creatine, and I've read Draven's sticky, and I've read serveral bodybuilding.com articles on the subject, and I still have questions. I am suffering from analysis paralysis. 1) Micro-ionized, pure stuff. 2) Traditional Monohydrate with a Dextrose transport. Fruit Punch. I've read various opinions on loading, and they vary. How about ~ 25 g / day (5 servings @ 5g each) ? How about ~ 25 g / day (3 servings @ 8g each) ? One guy recommends using the high GI carb loading for each serving, meaning that during the loading phase, you're definitely going thru an incredible insulin spike throughout the day. Another person recommends using the high GI carb only ONCE, and the other servings just mix the creatine in with your normal food. Loading phase is 5 days. I don't like the idea of taking high GI carbs every time I take Creatine, so this is my plan: Loading: 2 servings @ 8g with regular food, micro-ionized. 1 serving with the fruit punch transport. Next to consider is Creatine Ethyl Ester which comes in capsules but has a far better absorption rate than regular Monohydrate. I haven't bought this stuff, if nobody here has, I might give it a try after cycling with regular creatine first. |
