Default Is it ok to drink water during workout?

In AEs book it says that drinking or eating anything during the workout will result in increased production of some hormone (or something like that) and therefore it should be avoided. However, I assume this is not applicable to water, and that it is ok to drink it during the routine.

Can someone please validate this? Thanks!
