Default Rest between sets

Another question, having finished AEs first session. Workbook says 3mins btwn sets. That seems excessive for several exercises. I'll gladly take 3mins btwn squats, but that seems like overkill for rows, presses, etc.

Do you guys vary your rest depending on the exercise?
