Default Are strip-sets insane?

God-damn, it's been three full days since my leg workout on Wednesday and I swear to God my calves are still killing me. I mean, KILLING me. I've had to skip Back-bicep day yesterday because I was still having trouble walking around the house, let alone walking around the gym with people staring at me.

This is the breakdown:

Wednesday: Finished workout. Legs were exhausted but the rest of the day passed without event.

Thursday: Pain sets into all areas of legs (quads, hams, and calves). EXTREME DIFFICULTY WALKING. Hell, even extreme difficulty getting out of bed.

Friday: Quads and hams just beginning to settle down, but calves are still aching like f*cking hell. If anything, it's harder to walk than yesterday. Had to skip workout.

Today: No different from yesterday.

Look at the zombie in the gif, he knows what I'm talking about. I walk pretty much like him now except slower and only on tip-toes. If I walk with my heels, this unbearable pain rips across my calves. I spend as much time as possible sitting down

Are strip-sets supposed to hurt this much? I can't imagine anyone in their right minds intentionally inflicting this upon themselves. What I especially don't understand is how AE can expect anyone to go to failure on a set (indicating complete muscle exhaustion and most likely the on-set of bad form in the exercise), increase the weight, then without resting do more! It's crazy. Not only are you probably using bad form but you're overtraining.

Does anyone have any alternatives to training this way.. and maybe some tips on relieving this pain so I can get back in the gym? I'm currently taking all my supplements, and took two tablets of ibuprofen yesterday in hopes of pain relief. Didn't seem to have much effect, but I'll continue taking it.

Also, does soreness decrease the longer you train this way?
