Default Modified Mass Versus Normal Mass Diet

Hello,

I am currently on the fat loss diet, and will be for many many more weeks, but I had this question pop up in my head a few minutes ago.

When I finally bulk up...

I understand the mass diet consists of mass workouts, 20xbodyweight on workout days, 30-40-30 ratio. modified mass consists of mass workouts, 18xlbm on workout days, 30-40-30 ratio.

If people are trying to mass without gaining back the body fat they spent months and months losing (like I will be eventually), why doesn't a person just stick to the modified mass diet? Why use the normal mass diet?

Is it because building muscle on the modified mass would just be too slow?

But wouldn't using just the modified mass diet help limit your body fat gains more so than the normal mass diet?

Thanks for your help,

Greg
